Ernie Gulley Fly Fishing Guide Service

Stillwater fly fishing specialist, Ernie Gulley, was one of our speakers last year and everyone agreed his presentations were spectacular. One of his presentations was about fly fishing tactics for Crowley Lake, e.g., best places to fish on the lake and which patterns work best. (It is not unusual for Ernie’s clients to have 50 + fish days with most fish more that sixteen inches long.) Crowley is considered one of the premiere stillwater fisheries in the country and Ernie, a renowned Crowley guide, has graciously donated two days of guided fishing on the lake for two anglers for the price of one. Winner pays $400; Value $800. The trip will be available during the 2014 fishing season and per the scheduling of Ernie.

Pat Jaeger - Eastern Sierra Guide Services

A unique way to get away from Lower Owens weekend crowds and explore new, trout-infested water is to go by boat. Since most of the river below the Wild Trout Area is not accessible by foot, drifting is the best way to explore this wonderful fishery. An eight hour drift trip includes: Flies, complete wading gear, rod/reel, terminal tackle, lunch and beverages. Winner Pays $200; Value $400 plus he will give a 10% discount on additional consecutive days.

Before you can win one of these great prizes, you gotta buy a ticket ($25 each or five for $100) so you can get into the game. Remember, only 200 tickets will be sold.

Tickets can be purchased online, by mail, or in person at either the November meeting or at the Holiday Party. (FYI: In the past, big winners have nearly always bought two or more tickets to support the club.) And even though YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE PRESENT TO WIN, it is certainly a lot more fun to be at the party in person -- and take your prize home that night!

Even if you don't win a prize, you will still have the satisfaction of making a valuable contribution to WFF's ongoing conservation and education programs like Trout In The Classroom, CalTrout, and our fly tying seminars. Not to mention you can get a swell tax write off.*
